"A fasinating collection of hidden shops"

A review of Barbican Pannier Market by Robert Lenkiewicz written on Wednesday 12th of March 2014

What a spectacular find... Almost hidden away at the beginning of Southside st, is this very old market. Once the home of renown local painter Robert Lenkiewicz. This now listed building (explains its

now dilapidated exterior) has since become an indoor market housing a number of small interesting shops. Amongst which you will find Antiques, Militaria including a small museum, Retro, Stamps, Crystals, DVDs/Cds, and many other assorted wonders.

Not least of all it is now the home of the "Worlds Smallest Magic Shop"!

This is somewhere you should at least poke your nose into if for nothing else to meet the characters that work with its walls.

I am also told that some days you might even bump into the ghost of old Robert Lenkiewicz himself...
